I called AAA for a tow and they recommended this shop! Honest and Professional staff.

I took my car in for a simple oil change, and staff did a full diagnostic assessment on my car for free! They even gave me quotes, and gave me a report on my entire car, with recommendations for fixes and my car needed ranked from least to most urgent. Very professional. I would recommend this place to anyone needing car maintenance and just an honest assessment of what's going on with their car. I don't know anything about cars, but they educated me on what I needed to know, and we're very patient.

1 photo Rick and Jack facilitated an engine rebuild in my 1962 Thunderbird; ironically, they shopped the rebuild itself to the shop down the street which rebuilt the engine in my other classic Bird, so that was in good hands. Except for a couple o' minor details, the boys did an outstanding job; my engine runs as good as it looks and that is excellent. Read more Yep, as I hoped, they completed my car within the day: repair both rear axles, diff fluid change, brake fluid bleed, replaced both rear brake cylinders. I watched part of the process, and noted that the technician is fastidious about putting things were they belong and tracking removed parts. Those are all signs of good work habits. So, tip o' the hat; jobs well done. Read more Well, I am a fugitive from Loyola Automotive in Westchester, which, after 60 years in business, suddenly closed last month. I shopped around the Westside at other shops, but no one was really too interested in my two 1962 Ford Thunderbirds. Only one of those shops looked really "attractive" (to me, a fussy, long time auto enthusiast). So I got talked into visiting Rick's, without much expectation. I was quite surprised at the facility: plenty of racks, plenty of the right equipment, plenty of room, and plenty clean and organized! I was shocked...and heartened after a lengthy discussion with one technician, Michael, who himself owns several vintage cars and motorcycles. I haven't yet taken a car there, but, with years and years of critical observation under my belt, I am very confident of some good experiences there. These guy's are awsome, there honest and up front. Having worked for Nordstroms', most of all what I liked about there customer service they keep thier customer's up to date on all repairs, there customer service apps alow you real time communications. I highly reccomend them to anyone looking for honest, realiable guarnteed workmanship.

Great place to take care of your car?

I have been going to Ricks for over a decade he is always very straight forward and detailed to what needs to be done. He gives you a step by step of what is most needed but most of all he provides you a car to use while your car is in his shop, his staff is also very friendly, I wish all the shops are like his.

Its my neighborhood. Seen Rick's rise over the years. Not only a professional but a caring member of our community. Who is like that these days?

Rick took care of me personally. I especially liked the estimate which detailed things to do right away and others that could wait, all with actual photos of the areas needing attention. Car now works perfectly, thx!

Honest, professional and reasonable. They inspected my vehicle first and then made the recommendations needed. Unlike the dealership that wanted me to spend $800+ for a list of services that my vehicle didn’t need only because it’s over the 30K mile mark. I definitely recommend Rick’s Automotive Service.
