Elite '2020 Elite '2020 4 check-ins I had a check engine light come on my car and I thought it was a transmission light. I drove around Hawthorne on a Saturday morning. You'd think shops would take advantage of the weekend and be open nut alas, alot of them are closed. The ones that are open are over-booked. I found Ricks and drove up and it was spacious (unlike other repair shops) and fairl empty. I drove in and explained the light and since they've never seen me or my car they told me they'd have to run a diagnostic. It only makes sense, right? A true mechanic should get the whole story before they just work on the ONE thing you came in for. Anyways. Sadly. The diagnostic cane back that I needed about $2500 worth of repairs. Alongside some computer technical problems with my car Now you might be thinking I should give this place a 1 star review because of that. No. My reaction to the car needing that service is a 1-star review lol One of the mechanics walked me to my car as it was lifted and pointed out everything I would need to do to my car. He showed me in detail and I understood. Sadly I'm not rich enough to drop 2500 on repairs. My car is old and I'll be getting rod of it soon. So I asked what was the most crucial thing to get done. I opted to come back at a later date (which I will) and Rick even mentioned they do 6-month financing which I could explore if I wanted to. I never felt pressured here and Rick seemed like a stand up guy. I wish the repair cost were cheaper but I've been to cheap repair shops and you always get what you pay for. I'll take my car to Rick again and I'm sure the quality will be great.
